4 Desserts Made Healthy

Sometimes it’s impossible to resist those cravings for something chocolate, sweet and delicious! And since we can’t really have chocolate cake every night, here are some to-die-for desserts that are good enough to have daily!

CHOCOLATE BANANA ICE CREAM

Ingredients:

4 bananas

1 tbsp. cocoa powder

⅛ tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:

Slice the bananas and freeze overnight.

Blend your bananas in a food processor until they’re smooth.

Scoop the banana mixture into a bowl.

Fold in cocoa powder and vanilla extract.

 

BANANA CHOCOLATE CHIP MUFFINS

Ingredients:

1 ½ cup whole wheat pastry flour

1 tsp. baking soda

¼ tsp. salt

3 bananas

¼ cup honey

1 tbsp. vanilla

1 tbsp. olive or melted coconut oil

1 egg

½ cup nonfat plain greek yogurt

1 tbsp. unsweetened almond milk

½ cup chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.

Blend bananas, honey, vanilla, oil, egg, milk and yogurt for 1 min. or until smooth.

Mix together wet and dry ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips.

Fill muffin tin with batter and top off each muffin with a few more chocolate chips.

Bake for 20-25 mins.  

 

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CRUNCH BARS

Ingredients:

3 cups crispy rice cereal

1 ½ cups chocolate chips

1 cup peanut butter

½ cup maple syrup

¼ cup coconut oil

Directions:

Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.

Combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, maple syrup and coconut oil in a bowl and heat until melted.

Add crispy rice cereal and mix.

Pour into baking dish and refrigerate for at least one hour.

 

GREEK YOGURT CHOCOLATE MOUSSE

Ingredients:

1 ¾ cups Greek Yogurt

½ cup milk

½ cup chocolate chips

1 tbsp. honey

1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:

Heat milk on low heat in a saucepan.

Stir in chocolate chips until they melt. (Don’t bring the milk to a boil.)

Remove the milk from heat and let it rest for 3-5 mins.

Mix in honey, vanilla extract and greek yogurt.

Pour it into ramekins and let it chill for at least 2 hours.
